PROVIDENCE – Gasoline prices in Rhode Island have risen for the 11th consecutive week, from this year’s Feb. 19 low of $2.239, according to AAA Southern New England.
In the nonprofit auto club’s April 30 survey, self-service, regular unleaded gas averaged $2.899 per gallon, 8 cents more than last week’s average. A year ago, the average price was $2.929.
This week’s range in prices for unleaded regular was 22 cents, from $2.779 per gallon to $2.999.
Average prices this week for other grades of fuel were $3.009 per gallon for midgrade unleaded, $3.119 for premium unleaded and $2.939 for diesel.
