NORTH KINGSTOWN – APC has again won the Best Data Center Innovation award for its data-center solutions, the company announced today.
“To capture this prestigious award two years in a row is a significant achievement, and it tells us that our customers appreciate and value our innovative data-center solutions for blade deployments,” John DiPippo, APC’s senior vice president of data-center solutions, service and software, said in a statement today.

The award was based on rankings by attendees at BladeSystems Insight’s second annual invitational summit on blade-server technology, adoption, virtualization and the data-center market.
The conference, “Driving ROI Across the Data Center,” was held in Tucson May 12 to 14. It attracted more than 400 chief information officers, information technology directors and other senior IT executives.
“This year’s BladeSystems Insight featured more than 30 leading vendor sponsors and hundreds of the latest software, hardware and service solutions for today’s data center,” noted Philip McCay, president and CEO of event sponsor PPM Media.
“The Best Data Center Innovation award, as voted upon by our audience of end-user IT executives, is one of the summit’s most significant honors. It provides further recognition of APC’s industry leadership and new generation of products for the data-center environment.”
APC’s exhibit at the BladeSystem event focused on the company’s modular InfraStruXure system of data-center solutions, while case studies spotlighted InfraStruXure installations at Bryant University and Sun Microsystems.
