AVTECH launches new indoor air monitoring equipment

WARREN – AVTECH Software Inc. this month rolled out a new indoor air quality sensor designed to complement its signature Room Alert technology.

The device then sends this data to the connected Room Alert technology, which immediately alerts users of the danger via text or email notifications.

“The Digital Particulate & Temperature Sensor addresses a critical need for proactive indoor air quality monitoring in a wide range of applications,” said AVTECH CEO and President Richard Grundy. “By detecting wildfire smoke, industrial pollutants and other harmful particulates, this sensor empowers facility managers to safeguard occupant health and demonstrate compliance with air quality standards set by regulatory bodies such as OSHA [Occupational Safety and Health administration], EU-OSHA [European Agency for Safety and Health at Work], CCOHS [Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety] in Canada, and many more around the world.”

The Digital Particulate & Temperature Sensor can track hazards associated with air pollutants, wildfires and mold, AVTECH states, and can be used in buildings such as schools, workplaces and health care facilities.

Businesses, agencies and other organizations such as Boeing Co., Microsoft Corp., the United Nations and government offices make use of Room Alert in more than 185 countries, AVTECH says.

AVTECH, founded in 1988 and headquartered in Warren, also has locations in the United Arab Emirates and Ireland.
