AVTECH CEO Michael Sigourney said the 31-year-old company has been working to broaden its global presence, with environmental factors known to be responsible for 30% of power outages experienced by businesses, causing data loss, downtime and revenue loss.
“We’ve focused on the growing international market for the past decade by participating in multiple trade missions, while also exhibiting at a number of regional shows to help expand our presence,” Sigourney said in a statement.
Sigourney accepted the award at the Think Global Conference, along with Anne Sigourney, AVTECH chief financial officer.
Room Alert and its software and hardware products are made at AVTECH, in Warren’s Cutler Mill.
No others companies from Rhode Island or Bristol County, Mass., received awards.
