BankNewport in Washington Square to be renovated

NEWPORT – BankNewport has hired Sage Environmental, DBVW Architects and DiPrete Engineering to redesign and redevelop its offices in Washington Square.

The project will update the accessibility to the front doors of the building to be compliant with the Americans With Disabilities Act, as well as the drive-through configuration and the pedestrian connections to the surrounding road, according to a news release.

The project will also improve the landscaping in Washington Square, according to a release from DiPrete.

The plans have been authorized by the Newport Historic District Commission.
