The R.I. Housing and Mortgage Finance Corp. issued a request for proposals for the work on Thursday.

The RFP requires the developer to maintain at least 74 apartments that are affordable to low-income residents. Extra points will go to those projects that include households with formerly homeless individuals, who have special needs or an income less than 30% of the area median income, or no more than $21,000 for a family of three.
