BlumShapiro, the largest regional accounting, tax and business consulting firm based in New England, has announced the promotion of Josh Bloom to Supervisor in the firm’s Accounting and Auditing Department. As a supervisor, Bloom provides audit services, supervises fieldwork and oversees staff accountants during engagements.

Formerly a Senior Accountant at Sullivan and Company prior to its merger with BlumShapiro earlier this year, Bloom specializes in working with some of Rhode Island’s leading industries including hospitality, manufacturing and distribution, healthcare, government and non-profit organizations.
As a member of BlumShapiro’s Employee Benefit Assurance Services Group, Bloom also specializes in oversight, planning and implementation of employee benefit plan audits.
A graduate of the University of South Florida where Bloom received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Science in Accountancy, he currently is a member of the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, Bloom serves on the Committee of the Rhode Island Young Accountant Network as Marketing Director.
