The topping-off ceremony celebrates the installation of the last steel beam for a project.
On completion in August 2018, the new center will include presentation rooms, administrative and faculty offices, a 350-seat auditorium, classrooms, meeting spaces, a book store and a café.
The building is being constructed on the site of the old Student Union.
