PROVIDENCE – A three-year, professional training program led by Brown University’s Department of Theatre Arts and Performance Studies in tandem with Trinity Repertory Co., was ranked the No. 6 acting program in the nation by The Hollywood Reporter in May and has graduated students into multiple well-known theatre companies.
“The collaborative nature of Brown/Trinity has led to the creation of several successful theater companies, including Fiasco Theatre, Fault Line Theatre, The Williams Project, and The Light Fantastic Theater Co.,” as well as graduated multiple talented actors, Stephen Berenson, head of the MFA programs and Trinity Rep acting company member, said in a statement.

Brown graduates have been spotted in productions including John Guare’s “Six Degrees of Separation” on Broadway (Peter Mark Kendall), Jim Steinman’s “Bat Out of Hell” in the West End (Andrew Polec) and as part of “The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” ensemble (Olivia Khoshatefeh) for Netflix.
In addition, Brown graduates at Fiasco Theatre toured a production of Stephen Sondheim’s “Into the Woods,” Fault Line Theatre’s “The Oregon Trail” was called “a feisty, formally inventive comedy” by The New York Times, and The Williams Project will remount its “Blues for Mister Charlie” by James Baldwin this summer.
