CCRI graduates invited to Infosys hiring event

PROVIDENCE – Infosys, the multinational business consulting and information technology company, is holding a hiring event for Community College of Rhode Island graduates from 4-7 p.m. on Aug. 26 at the Infosys Design and Innovation Center, 75 Fountain St.

CCRI said Infosys is hiring junior operations associates, positions that require an associate degree, as well as basic computer knowledge, analytical skills and a proficiency in English.

Graduates who are unable to attend can apply online or submit resumes to WorkforcePartnerships@ccri.edu, the school said.

The Infosys design center opened in the spring and the company has promised to eventually hire as many as 500 people. Infosys has entered into a partnership with CCRI to create programming designed to ready students for the growing digital-economy sector.

CCRI said it is focused on improving the ways it prepares its students for the workforce.

Last spring, the college achieved its highest first-time, full-time graduation rate in more than 20 years, and expects to have the highest three-year graduation rate of any community college in New England by 2021, CCRI said.
