Central Falls honored for its commitment to trees

CENTRAL FALLS – The city has been named a 2018 Tree City USA by the nonprofit Arbor Day Foundation to honor its commitment in protecting urban trees.

The city achieved the status by meeting four requirements: a tree board, a tree care ordinance, an annual community forestry budget of at least $2 per capita and an Arbor Day observance.
