WEST WARWICK – Centreville Bank has made $260,000 available to the Capital Good Fund to help fund its lending operations.

The West Warwick-based bank has provided permanent working capital to the Providence nonprofit, which specializes in making small loans with low-income individuals.

The bank’s giving arm, Centreville Bank Charitable Foundation, has given an additional $10,000 to help support financial coaching, another hallmark service provided by the Capital Good Fund.

“Capital Good Fund provides critical services for Rhode Islanders who are working hard to improve their personal credit and make their lives better for themselves and their families,” said Scott Sheppard, vice president of commercial lending, in a statement. “We are pleased to be able to support two legs of their mission – lending and financial education.”
