Nick Bernfeld, co-CEO of the North Smithfield-based information technology services company, knows that most organizations are looking to keep strategic IT in-house while partnering with a local team that can extend capacity, cover after hours and bring specialized skills that reflect IT Support RI’s specialties.
“Over the last couple of years, we leaned hard into three things: a security-first managed services stack, business continuity as a product and co-managed [information technology] for mid-market teams,” Bernfeld said.
So far, that philosophy has worked. Company revenues have grown from $4.9 million in 2022 to $5.8 million in 2024. With the boost in revenue, the company has reinvested aggressively in talent, tooling and client experience.
This involves adding headcount to maintain tight response times, expanding training on compliance and standardizing its service catalog for consistent outcomes across Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
