Cress & Co. joins Weichert

EAST GREENWICH – The owner of Cress & Co. Realtors announced this week it has become a franchise of Weichert Real Estate Affiliates Inc.
Cress & Co. Realtors becomes the third Weichert Real Estate Affiliates franchise in the state and has 18,000 Realtors. Nationally, the company has sales associates serving some 300 markets in 36 states. Cress & Co. President Rob Cressman Jr. said the move would provide the family-owned company with access to an array of tools including mortgage and insurance services, an Internet lead generation platform and a multinational relocation company. Franchise support also includes in-house marketing, dedicated public relations, pre-license schools, Realtor recruitment, in-person training and extensive online education.
“Weichert’s systems and tools closely match ours, but on a much broader scale, Cressman said. “I could see that joining the Weichert network would allow me to expand the office and offer our clients a greater array of services while still retaining our independent status.”
The East Greenwich office has already begun its expansion. Just prior to announcing the new Weichert moniker, Cressman announced that Young Realty of North Kingstown, a long-established family business, had been acquired.
The newly expanded business also received a welcome from Weichert Affiliates President Martin J. Rueter.
