CUMBERLAND – A startup company in Cumberland recently released its first software application, a program to help jobseekers manage their employment search.
The company, founded by two veteran software executives, is named JRBM Software, and the program is called Job Hunt Express. It uses sales force management software common in the sales and marketing industries to help jobseekers organize and store information about their job search, including lists of openings and contact information for recruiters.

The software, based on Microsoft Mobile SQL database and .Net technology, is priced at $29.95 and only available for Windows XP and Vista.
“In the past nine months, the job hunt has become an unfamiliar and overwhelming ordeal for the typical candidate,” JR Rodrigues, JRBM Software’s co-founder, said in a news release.
“It is no longer enough to send out a few resumes and wait for a call back,” he said. “Instead, it has morphed into a high volume strategy and numbers game in which jobseekers must apply to many more open positions, follow up more frequently with recruiters and hiring managers, and network with more business and social contacts than ever before.”
