PROVIDENCE – Delta Dental of Rhode Island has contributed $25,000 to Family Service of Rhode Island’s 13th annual Brighter Futures Luncheon honoring Brown University and its president, Christina H. Paxson.

The donation marks the biggest sponsorship of the event to date and brings FSRI closer to its $250,000 fundraising goal.

FSRI is a comprehensive nonprofit social service agency. The organization provides support to children and families from birth to adulthood through services focused on three general areas: physical and mental health, education, and overall well-being.

“FSRI and Delta Dental of Rhode Island have effectively partnered for more than a decade to serve families throughout Rhode Island. They have been a fabulous provider of dental coverage for our organization for many years,” said FSRI CEO Margaret Holland McDuff.

“Delta Dental of Rhode Island is proud to support the Brighter Futures Luncheon,” said Thomas Chase, Delta Dental of Rhode Island chief operating officer and FSRI board member. “We support FSRI’s values and share in its mission of improving the lives of individuals throughout Rhode Island.”

The Brighter Futures Luncheon attracts over 500 attendees, including top talent from the corporate, philanthropic and social service sectors. This year’s luncheon will take place on Oct. 2 at noon at the Rhode Island Convention Center.

“To receive an investment like this on our 125-year anniversary shows that Delta Dental is committed to our many critical programs throughout the state that help serve families and youth. We look forward to maintaining this partnership for years to come,” McDuff said.
