DEM buys 12 acres of forestland in Hopkinton for $400K to preserve for public use

PROVIDENCE – The R.I. Department of Environmental Management on Oct. 22 announced its purchase of 12.6 acres of forestland in Hopkinton that will be preserved and protected for public recreational use, including hiking, fishing and hunting. DEM used State Open Space Bond funds to purchase the property for $404,000 from Raymond Marr and E. Lorraine
