EAST GREENWICH – EaglePicher Technologies appointed Richard Hunter CEO effective July 15, the company announced this week.
Hunter succeeds Gordon Walker. According to Walker’s LinkedIn profile, he began in July 2016. It was not immediately clear what he intends to do following his departure.

“For this critical role, a comprehensive search was conducted, and the board is pleased to have found the best individual to assume leadership for this growing organization,” said Craig Bondy, EaglePicher board chairman, in a statement. “We are excited to add Rich’s operational expertise and direct experience with EaglePicher’s customers and platforms to the senior leadership team.”
Richard Hunter most recently served as president of L3 Technologies – Defense Electronic Systems division, EaglePicher said.
EaglePicher Technologies designs and produces power systems for defense, aerospace and medical battery applications.
“I am excited to assume this role and for the future of the company. EaglePicher is investing in the people and processes that will accelerate growth and position us for long-term success,” stated Hunter.
The company said that it currently has 61 employees at its East Greenwich facility.
