Discuss impact of offshore windfarms on marine environments THE UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND Coastal Resource Center is hosting a webinar to explain and discuss the impacts of the construction and operation of offshore renewable energy installations. Jen McCann, from the Coastal Resource Center, and Elizabeth T. Methratta, of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, as well as a panel of researchers and scientists, will discuss how offshore wind installations affect the marine environment, with a focus on sea life. Since the Block Island Wind Farm was installed in 2016, offshore wind energy companies have leased offshore sites to install wind farms in Atlantic waters, with pushback from the scientific community and commercial fishing industry.

Writing your business plan THE CENTER FOR WOMEN & Enterprise is hosting a webinar that is designed to aid aspiring business owners in crafting a practical and workable business plan. This workshop will provide an overview of writing a business plan, including topics such as why you need to write a business plan; an overview of each section of a business plan; research and writing tips; and resources for help and support. CWE will provide participants with a sample business plan template to help business owners get started with the process.
