The Pennsylvania-based company builds interactive financial technology for financial advisers and their clients. The median annual salary for the positions in Rhode Island is expected to be about $80,000, according to information from the R.I. Commerce Corp., which earlier this year approved up to $3.3 million in tax credits for the company.
Its location, at 100 Westminster St., is home to several financial services companies, as well as Paolino Properties. The eMoney Advisor office will occupy about one-third of a floor, according to a spokeswoman.
The spokeswoman for eMoney Advisor said the downtown views and location in the Financial District were among the reasons why the building was selected.
Ten employees will be working in the Providence office by mid-August, the company announced. Recruiting efforts are underway, the company said, to fill positions in software development, user interface and experience design, software testing and quality engineering and product management.
“This is just the beginning of our journey in Rhode Island,” said Ed O’Brien, the CEO of eMoney, in a released statement. “We’re excited to get the office up and running, becoming an integral part of the Providence community and tapping its extensive network of talent.”
