PROVIDENCE – An expert panel on Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement compliance, moderated by Chris Lanen of Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems, is set for Jan. 23 from 8-9:30 a.m. at the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce.
DFARS is a set of cybersecurity regulations for contractors and suppliers that work with the Department of Defense. It is to safeguard defense information from internal and external threats.
The session will examine what manufacturers in aerospace and other industries have available in terms of DFARS resources; look at the true cost of achieving and maintaining DFARS compliance; and explore potential costs of noncompliance, according to Polaris MEP, one of the event’s organizers.
Panelists include George Wrenn, founder and CEO of CyberSaint Security in Boston; Rich Astle, general manager of NeQter Labs in Middletown; Constantine Macris, a cloud architect with Manage Infinity in Minneapolis; and Jean Lehman, a project manager at Polaris MEP in Providence.
The Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce is at 30 Exchange Terrace.
Registration may be made online.
