CRANSTON – Federal Electronics Inc. is one of 25 suppliers recognized this week by Raytheon Co.’s Integrated Defense Systems in its second annual Supplier Excellence Awards.
According to Raytheon IDS, the awards honor suppliers who have demonstrated on-time delivery, quality and commitment to excellence.
The winners were honored at a ceremony Tuesday afternoon in the Freedom Theater at Raytheon IDS in Tewksbury, Mass., that followed a supplier seminar on mission assurance. The companies, some from as far away as Norway and Madrid, ranged from electronic component and service providers to subcontractors for major subsystems of Raytheon IDS programs.
Accepting on behalf of Federal Electronics were Vice President Ed Evangelista and Account Manager Chris Heywood.
Three other New England companies – Global Relief Technologies of Portsmouth, N.H.; Port Electronics Corp. of Salem, N.H.; and Rockbestos-Suprenant Cable Corp. of East Granby, Conn. – also were among the 25 suppliers honored, Raytheon IDS said.
