According to data collected and published by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Recreational Saltwater Fishing contributes approximately $200 million to the RI economy and supports approximately 2000 jobs. This is an area of potential growth for our state where we are not in competition with other states because we have the fishing resources here and they don’t.
