“Last week saw a dip in crude oil prices of almost 4 percent – and last Friday, the national price at the pump dipped several cents below the price point of one year ago. With pump prices dropping in roughly half of the 50 states, this spells good news for summer travelers getting behind the wheel,” said Lloyd Albert, senior vice president of public and government affairs for AAA Northeast.
Prices for self-serve, regular unleaded gas in Massachusetts also fell 3 cents this week, averaging $2.27 per gallon, 8 cents below the national average, and 4 cents below prices this time last year. The price range in Massachusetts is 36 cents, from $2.16 to $2.52.
