HarborOne Bank names new
chief accounting officer

PROVIDENCE – Katherine A. Peterson has joined HarborOne Bank as vice president/chief accounting officer, the bank announced.

Peterson brings “additional leadership, management and expertise to the HarborOne Accounting Department,” the bank said. She will oversee the bank’s compliance with the federal Sarbanes-Oxley Act, approved in 2002 to help protect shareholders, employees and the public from accounting errors and fraudulent financial practices. She will oversee the proper disclosure of required financial, operational and management information, as well as the control and safeguarding of the bank’s assets.

“Katherine brings nearly 20 years of experience to our team and we’re excited to welcome her aboard,” said HarborOne President and Chief Operating Officer Joseph Casey. “She brings a strong history of expertise in crucial areas of accounting that are extremely important to our customers.”
