PROVIDENCE – Some seats are still available for the Rhode Island Foundation’s inaugural “Pioneers” podcast featuring an interview with Hasbro Inc. Executive Committee Chairman Alan G. Hassenfeld.
Mary-Kim Arnold, local author, teacher and artist, will interview Hassenfeld, a pioneer in improving the lives of children through toys, as a child health advocate and as a civic leader. In 2015, Hassenfeld established the Hassenfeld Child Health Institute with a $12.5 million gift. The institute, located at Brown University and created in collaboration with Hasbro Children’s Hospital and Women & Infants Hospital, targets autism, asthma, obesity and other urgent problems affecting the health of children.

Registration is required for the free event on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at the R.I. Convention Center.
Validated parking will be available in the R.I. Convention Center parking garage. Registration starts at 5 p.m., and the program begins at 5:30 p.m.
This is the first in a series of five live podcast events, featuring Alan Hassenfeld, Julie Nora, Rabbi Leslie Gutterman, Amanda Milkovits and Angel Taveras. Dates and locations for the remaining four events will be announced later this year.
