WARWICK – GBA Health Network Systems last week announced that a new version of its medical practice automation software package, MEDfx, is now available to all.
MEDfx v.3.0 will be used by customers across the nation, ranging from small doctors’ offices to clinics that are part of a regional health information exchange (HIE), the company said.
Among the features of MEDfx v3.0 are electronic remittance advice (ERA) for payment application, which allows for auto payment posting by batch or by date of service, and eligibility, through which patient eligibility for medical services may be checked from the scheduling module.
Before users can download the new version, they must receive Web-based training from GBA, the company said.
GBA Health Network Systems, a privately held company started in 1984, has provided software to more than 10,000 health care providers nationwide. Its flagship product, MEDfx, is designed to be easy to integrate with clinical software such as electronic medical records systems and health information exchanges.
