
While the final numbers won’t be in for a while, it appears that nearly 10 million fewer Americans shopped over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, according to Bloomberg News, spending nearly $20 less per person than they did a year ago. It appears that e-commerce continues to capture a larger share of the retail activity at this time of year, but there are still many people who prefer to shop at physical, brick-and-mortar retailers for their holiday gift-giving needs.
