WARWICK – Two Rhode Island insurance companies have been named “top insurance workplaces” by Insurance Business America, a trade magazine for commercial insurance brokers.
USI Insurance Services – a major insurance brokerage and consulting firm based in Westchester County, N.Y., with a main Rhode Island office in Warwick – ranked first for 2019 among the five companies that received satisfaction ratings of at least 80% in the large employer category – those with at least 500 employees.
East Providence-based Starkweather & Shepley Insurance Brokerage was ranked No. 11 among 12 companies with satisfaction ratings of at least 80% in the midsize employer category – those with 100 to 499 employees.
With about 240 employees, Starkweather & Shepley provides casualty, commercial, employee benefits, and personal property insurance, along with risk management services and surety bonding.
The magazine ranks leading insurance organizations in the United States, based on a series of employee satisfaction metrics, including benefits, compensation, culture, employee development, and diversity.
