Kingston Train Station celebrates renovations with ribbon cutting

SOUTH KINGSTOWN – Recently completed upgrades and high-speed-rail track improvements at Amtrak’s Kingston Station were celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Oct. 30. Improvements included a new third track, as well as construction of two platforms to provide level boarding, both of which are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The project cost $47 million.
