PROVIDENCE – William A. McCourt was appointed acting Executive Director of the Rhode Island Manufacturers Association last week.
McCourt will be in charge of designing, developing and implementing the organization’s strategic plans as well as day-to-day operations.

He was one of the original incorporators of the association and served on its executive committee and board of directors since its inception, a news release said. He also served as its treasurer.
McCourt has worked as a management executive for several local manufacturers for the past 16 years – most recently, as chief operations officer and chief finance officer for composite manufacturer Globe Composite Solutions Ltd.
