Use: Shortly after acquiring the former Women & Infants Hospital building on the Roger Williams Medical Center campus in 2016, Marquis Health Services – an affiliate of Tryko Partners LLC – launched its $5.7 million renovation project for the four-story building built in 1900. The 206-bed facility, the largest skilled-nursing facility in the state, has a refurbished lobby and cafe, as well as a new 3,000-square-foot subacute rehabilitation gym known as Willow Bend at Elmhurst. A 12-bed, transitional-care pavilion was installed on the first floor and the renovations modernized the building with new systems and windows. There are also 70 private patient rooms, areas with piped-in oxygen and a smart car inside the facility used for rehabilitation programs.

WORKING OUT: The center’s new 3,000-square-foot subacute rehabilitation gym has updated workout equipment, a small stairway to help patients climb stairs, and a smart car for rehab use.[/caption]
