PROVIDENCE – Dave Marquis, president and co-owner of Lincoln-based ChemArt Co., has been named the 2024 Strategic Leadership Award winner for Providence Business News’ annual Manufacturing Awards.
Marquis oversees a company that makes and produces custom keepsake ornaments, candle wraps and lantern accents, among other items. Marquis is also passionate about manufacturing, which has shaped ChemArt’s drive to help organization’s raise funds by telling stories that are unique to their mission or cause – including creating and selling custom keepsakes with proceeds benefiting those organizations.
Ted Williams, president of North Kingstown-based Senesco Marine LLC, has been named the 2024 Manufacturing Champion. Williams is a significant supporter of the Rhode Island Manufacturers Association and has a desire to see Rhode Island's economy continue to grow through the expansion of manufacturing.
Williams’ advocacy efforts include testifying to state officials seeking more support for the manufacturing sector and career training, helping future workers become employed within the industry.
Marquis and Williams are among 24 total honorees chosen for the 2024 awards program, which recognizes their efforts in the manufacturing sector. For the first time this year, the awards program will have a “Meet the Makers” category, recognizing efforts by 12 manufacturers in producing goods both locally and beyond.
This year’s event will be held Nov. 13 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Providence-Warwick in Warwick. Tickets can be purchased by visiting
