BOSTON – Gov. Charlie D. Baker, Senate President Stan Rosenberg and House Speaker Robert DeLeo announced last week they are seeking a consultant to analyze the potential impacts of the city hosting the 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.
In a statement, Baker and the legislative leaders said they are seeking an independent analysis of Boston 2024’s plan – specifically the potential for costs, responsibilities and potential risks of overruns – to be borne by state and local government.
