“We want mhari.org to be ‘one-stop shopping’ for mental health-related resources and information,” said MHARI Executive Director Laurie Pisciotta. “We are thrilled to debut our new organizational website to the community and cannot think of a better time of year to do this.”

The holidays, Pisciotta continued, can be stressful and difficult for many different reasons.

“I want those of us dealing with mental health issues to know that there are organizations out there that can help. You can find treatment and support on our resources page and community calendar,” she said.

The mental health association is also debuting another new initiative with its first Joy + Connection Club meeting on Dec. 12 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wildflour Bakery in Pawtucket. The club is an “opportunity to put away social media and socialize in real life, where real connections happen,” according to the association.
