NEIT expands program in criminal justice

WARWICK – The New England Institute of Technology will offer a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice technology, starting in March 2011.
The school already has an associate’s degree program in criminal justice technology, but the new 18-month program will expose students to more in-depth lessons in domestic- and family-law issues, integration of criminal law and criminal procedure and contemporary issues in corrections and will examine case studies in criminal forensics.
The curriculum will include classes in digital forensics, domestic terrorism, ethics, financial and white collar crimes, advanced report-writing techniques, corporate and private security, and use of force and the consequences.
