WARWICK – Home builder h.a. Fisher Homes, known for designing new houses based on women’s design preferences, is planning a new development in Warwick.

The Hawthorne Ridge subdivision will include eight houses. Located on Greenwich Avenue, the houses will have three bedrooms and will cover between 1,500 and 2,000 square feet, according to a news release.

The site is a former homestead that covered about 2.5 acres.

The project is mostly made up of two-story houses, but there is a potential for some single-family designs as well, said Hugh A. Fisher, the founder and president of h.a. Fisher Homes.

Fisher has completed a total of 1,500 homes in Rhode Island, including subdivisions in Warwick known as Wyndermere, Wyndsor Place, Hidden Oaks and Waverly Place, according to his spokeswoman. The company is completing a large development in North Kingstown called Reynolds Farm.

DiPrete Engineering is providing the site’s design and soil evaluations, as well as wetland inspections.
