Newport company creates new website for Social Enterprise Greenhouse

PROVIDENCE – Social Enterprise Greenhouse has a new website, created by Worldways Social Marketing in Newport.

The nonprofit – a network of hundreds of businesses and entrepreneurs – supports, guides and funds the state’s social-impact ecosystem of “do well, do good” businesses.

The new website, at www.SEGreenhouse.org, has updated menus and content, SEG said, along with an interactive home page.

SEG, formerly Social Venture Partners of Rhode Island, serves as a resource for social entrepreneurs, helping them access capital, join accelerator programs and provide other support.

The group has worked with Edesia of North Kingstown, which develops innovative nutrition solutions to combat malnutrition; and Glee Gum, a Providence-based, natural chewing-gum venture, for example, as well as social-service agency Amos House of Providence.

Kelly Ramirez is SEG’s CEO.
