Ted Fischer | Ageless Innovation LLC co-founder and CEO
On my first day at Hasbro almost four years ago, I could not have imagined that my team one day would launch a new brand making products for the older-adult market.
The concept was born from consumer insights and glowing reviews related to a product intended for girls aged 4 to 8 that was being bought for aging loved ones. As we did our research, we discovered growing epidemics of senior isolation, loneliness and cognitive decline. We heard the need for interactive companionship, fun, play and joy.
The deeper we researched, the more passionate the team became about creating products to have a positive impact for this amazing demographic. We also discovered a growing market opportunity with U.S. and global populations of people 65-plus doubling between now and 2050.
It became clear that if Joy for All was going to reach its potential, our team needed to focus 100 percent on the older-adult market.
At Ageless Innovation we talk about “amplifying impact” every day and feel very lucky to have this opportunity. Starting at Hasbro almost four years ago, it would have been impossible to predict this path.
If I have learned anything over the last three decades, there are no straight lines if you are passionate, always looking for niche market opportunities, surround yourself with creative, innovative people and seek to have meaningful impact.
If you are true to what inspires and drives you, and apply your experience and passion, the path may lead to the most exciting opportunity you have ever had.
