Old Navy to open store at Garden City Center

CRANSTON – The value fashion retailer Old Navy will open at Garden City Center this year, potentially by late summer, the shopping center announced Wednesday.

The space is 13,000 square feet in what was part of the Cohoes store, which closed last year.

Active negotiations are continuing for the remaining section of the building, according to a Garden City Center spokesman.

Old Navy, which opened in 1994, has affordable, playful clothing and accessories for toddlers, children, women and men. It is owned by the Gap Inc. apparel group that also operates several other retail stores at Garden City Center, including Athleta, Banana Republic and Gap.
