PROVIDENCE – More than 330 guests attended Women & Infants Hospital’s “One Enchanted Evening” event at Café Nuovo, helping to raise more than $507,000 for the hospital’s Birth Center.
“There are so many great people working to support this wonderful hospital. That was something that drew me here, and it’s been amazing to see in action,” said Rick Majzun, president and chief operating officer at Women & Infants Hospital, who joined the hospital in July. “You all know this hospital is one of the crown jewels for the state of Rhode Island, but I know it as a national treasure, as the premier place in the country for women and infants’ care. The reason I know that is because seven years ago, I was asked to create a similar program in St. Louis, so we studied the best places in the country. During this process, I learned about Women & Infants. The work we do in the hospitals, in our research labs, in the community – it changes lives, not only in Rhode Island, not only in New England but across the country.”
