Providence — November 4, 2013 — PACE Organization of Rhode Island CEO Joan Kwiatkowski has been elected Chair of the Board for the National PACE Association (NPA).
Kwiatkowski has been an active member of NPA since 2003, when she began serving on numerous committees including public policy, nomination, and awards. She was elected to the board in March of this year based on her extensive leadership experience, strategic planning expertise and commitment to the PACE model of care.

NPA exists to advance the efforts of PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) organizations nationwide. Kwiatkowski’s appointment was announced at this year’s NPA Conference, held last month in Miami, Florida. In January of 2014 she will begin serving her term as Chair of the Board, during which time she will lead the NPA Board of Directors in developing and ensuring achievement of NPA’s strategic plan, monitoring its programs and services and enhancing its public image.
Kwiatkowski has over 20 years of experience in health care administration. In addition to her position at PACE, a nonprofit medical service provider for seniors, she also serves as the CEO of CareLink, a nonprofit management service for long term health care providers. She has also worked as a senior executive at Lifespan Health System in Providence, and at Northeast Health System in Beverly, Massachusetts. She is both an alum and former faculty member of the MSW program at BU, as well as the recipient of a Nonprofit Business Management Certificate from Stanford University.
