PACE Organization of Rhode Island Welcomes New Day Center Manager

Providence — October 23, 2013 — PACE Organization of Rhode Island is pleased to announce the addition of Ryan Girard as the new Day Center Manager at the Adult Day Center of Westerly (ADCW).

In this new role, Girard will assume full management and operation of the ADCW, including supervision of staff and all services delivered to participants of PACE, a nonprofit health plan based in Rhode Island that helps seniors remain in their homes. Girard comes to PACE and the ADCW with over a decade of experience in the Human Services field. For eight years he worked at South Shore Center, a behavioral health organization in Charlestown, RI where he began as a Residential Case Manager and began serving as a Residential Supervisor in 2010. Previous to that he was a Behavioral Specialist at the Adeline LaPlante Memorial Center in North Kingstown, RI, where he worked with children with special needs. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island in 2003.

Since 1980, the ADCW has been serving seniors and their families in South County. In June of this year, PACE acquired the ADCW and began full management and oversight of its operations on July 1st. ADCW retains its name, and PACE now co-locates in the same building at 5 Union Street.
