Stacy Paterno has been named senior partner at Clarendon Group. As vice president of public affairs, she will continue to work closely with clients on all aspects of health policy. She also runs the firm’s federal relations practice. Prior to joining Clarendon Group, Stacy worked in the financial services industry in Boston, conducting mutual fund research and audit-compliance analysis for State Street Bank & Trust.

PBN: You have been with the company since its inception – how will the departure of Christine Heenan change the organization?
PATERNO: There is no question that with Christine’s departure comes change. But as we see it, her departure is simply a shift in leadership. Clarendon will continue to help support our client’s communications, policy and advocacy agendas as we always have. The shift in management structure will allow us to expand our offerings and position the company for new growth opportunities.

PBN: As a senior partner, how will your role change?
PATERNO: The three-partner management structure allows me to continue my heath care-policy efforts both on the local and federal levels while engaging in other areas of the company’s work. As senior partner, I look forward to taking a more hands-on approach to shaping and building the business.

PBN: With new leadership, will Clarendon’s focus change?
PATERNO: Clarendon Group will continue to support clients in a range of sectors, including education and health care, but our reach is broader than that. What’s exciting about the new leadership team, which includes our current Clarendon colleague Arianne Corrente Lynch, as well as Garry Bliss, is that we have expanded our capabilities. New talent brings new ideas and expertise, so Clarendon Group can further extend its resources and reach.

PBN: Clarendon is known for being a flexible workplace. Will that environment change?
PATERNO: Clarendon’s workplace environment will not change. Clarendon Group is successful because of who we are – men and women who are fiercely committed to our clients, to excellent work, and work-life balance. &#8226
