The recent acquisition of SeatAdvisor, headquartered in San Diego, includes the company’s cloud-based ticketing software SeatAdvisor Box Office, used by thousands of venues worldwide to sell more than 100 million tickets to date. The user-friendly platform includes integrated fundraising, analytics and marketing functions to support event organizers for schools, hotels, race tracks, performing-arts groups, sports organizations and festivals.

“Patron Technology enables SeatAdvisor to further execute on its commitment to helping performing arts and other live-event venues reach their business goals,” said Brent Miller, president and CEO of SeatAdvisor. “Patron Technology is the perfect home for SeatAdvisor, and we look forward to leveraging its industry expertise, as well as the ability to collaborate with its expanding portfolio of top-flight ticketing brands.”

Eugene Carr, CEO of Patron Technology, said the acquisition would help extend the company’s reach in the U.S., Europe and Australia, where SeatAdvisor has established significant reseller networks. SeatAdvisor’s clients also include companies in Singapore, Malaysia, the Middle East, Canada, Panama, Colombia, Mexico and the Caribbean.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition of SeatAdvisor is the third for Patron Technology, which earlier this year acquired Pittsburgh-based ShowClix and Philadelphia-based Ticketleap to expand its services to include consumer conventions, museums, attractions, festivals and self-service events in addition to the performing arts.

Patron Technology is a portfolio company of Providence Strategic Growth, an affiliate of Providence Equity Partners that focuses on growth-equity investments in middle-market software and technology-service companies.
