PAWTUCKET – Judd Brown Designs Inc., a Pawtucket-based architecture and interior design firm, has completed a $16 million redesign and expansion of The Venetian Catering, a ballroom in Garfield, N.J.
The redesign included doubling the size of the facility – it’s now 32,000 square feet – and adding pre-function space, a bridal suite rotunda and grand entrance.
The redesign includes hundreds of feet of hand-forged and gilded ornamental railings and Rhode Island-made custom carved plasterwork and molding.
Along with a series of 15-foot crystal ballroom chandeliers, the redesign includes custom glass sculptures by Dale Chihuly, a Rhode Island School of Design graduate and former professor whose work last fall marked the grand opening of The Chace Center at RISD.
