PROVIDENCE – The Providence College men’s basketball team will play at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center through at least the 2014 season, The Associated Press reported.
The private college last week announced a new five-year contract with the arena, which has been the team’s home since it opened in 1972.
An $80 million renovation of the facility was completed in September 2008, with a new lobby, concourse and locker rooms and 20 luxury suites. The Dunk seats more than 12,000 fans.
Providence College hosts the first two rounds of the 2010 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in March. •
