True Diversity Inc., a local civic and social organization dedicated to providing preventative programming and an advocate for diverse resources, will hold a fundraising soiree titled “Pouring Possibilities” on Saturday, Jan. 20, from 6-9 p.m. at Talisa’s on Main Wine Bar, 65 Main St., Taunton. A new year with beer

We Share Hope, an East Providence-based organization that provides food for local organizations and food pantries, will hold a Beer & New Year event in support of its school food pantry program on Tuesday, Jan. 23, from 5-7 p.m. at the Narragansett Brewing Co., 271 Tockwotton St., Providence. The Play 4 Peace Tour, a local basketball initiative that offers educational seminars, backpack giveaways, a scholarship fund, free basketball camps and an after-school program, will hold a Sneakerball Fundraiser event on Sunday, Feb. 4, from 4-8:30 p.m. at the Providence Firefighters Hall, 92 Printery St., Providence.
