JAMESTOWN – The “Pink House,” a 5-acre waterfront estate just south of Jamestown village, has sold for $6,341,500, the second highest purchase price in the state this year.
The Walcott Avenue property, built in 1919, is the sixth sale in the state of more than $4 million in 2011, according to Lila Delman Real Estate, which listed the property.
In addition to the “grand summer cottage,” the estate includes a four-car garage with chaufeur’s quarters, a gardener’s cottage, a separate 1.3-acre buildable lot and a private beach.
“The majority of homes in the $3 million and above range have been in the market for well over a year. ‘The Pink House’ is unique because it sold in less than 130 days, making this not only the second highest sale in the state for 2011, but also one of the quickest sales,” said Melanie Delman, president of Lila Delman in a statement announcing the sale.
This marks the fourth time since the house was built that is has been sold.
