Polaris MEP to host safety workshop for manufacturers Feb. 21

PROVIDENCE – Polaris MEP will host the lunch-and-learn workshop, “Top Things to Consider When Implementing a Safety Program,” on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The free event well be held at 315 Iron Horse Way in Providence.

The workshop features Rhode Island speaker Bob Morgan, a contracted Polaris MEP manufacturing expert with more than 30 years working as a quality engineer, quality manager, value-stream leader, production manager, and health, safety and environment manager.

According to the Polaris MEP website, the session will cover the new Occupational Safety and Health Administration electronic-reporting requirement and other requirements; information that companies must report to OSHA; 22 OSHA general industry standards; information on when an injury is recordable under OSHA; and what should be included in a company’s health and safety program.

Polaris MEP says the workshop is designed for those responsible for a company’s health and safety programs, such as managers, supervisors and facilities managers.
